Chief Executive Officer

Jagdeep (Jay) Trivedi brings over twenty years of administrative leadership experience in medical device startups, managed care and alternative payment strategies.  Jay began at Upham’s Corner Health Committee (UCHC) in 2004 as the Operations Director of the Upham’s Elder Service Plan, a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and since January 2016, has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer.  He sits on the board of The Massachusetts League of Community Health Center, as well as being a board member of Boston HealthNet Corporation and others.  He was also awarded the 2014 Community Service Award from the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers.

Jay received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University.

Kevin Cherry

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin Cherry joined Upham’s Corner Health Center in 2021 to assume responsibility for the organization’s financial health and management. He arrived with a wealth of experience from Boston-area banking, consulting, education, and public health sectors, where he honed a specialization in educational and charitable funding, finances, and operational management. In recent years, he has held CFO roles at the Boston Renaissance Charter School, South End Community Health Center, and St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, Mass.

 

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University, where he is also a member of the Board of Trustees. In addition, he has been on the boards of several Boston-area nonprofits and community organizations.

Maryellen Sheehan, M.B.A.

Chief Operations Officer, Health Center

Maryellen oversees the health center operations in collaboration with the entire leadership team to provide efficient, patient-focused, accountable, and compliant processes and systems to support the provision of services to UCHC patients seeking primary, urgent, specialty, including eye and dental care and women’s health at UCHC health centers.

Since coming to the health center, she has developed a centralized call center and led several projects to improve processes impacting patients and staff, such as form re-design process, developing staff career ladders, prescription refill request process improvements, and improved appointment access.

Maryellen has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.  She has over 20 years of professional experience working in health care settings including operations, patient and member services, call center management and compliance at Commonwealth Care Alliance and East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.

Nicole Smith

Chief Human Resources Officer

Nicole joined Upham’s Corner Health Committee, Inc., in January 2019. Nicole is responsible for overseeing human resources operations, employee rewards & recognition, talent acquisition, employee relations matters and payroll functions for all 3 divisions of Upham’s Corner Health Committee, Inc.

Since arriving at the health center, she has brought on new employee benefits, implemented competitive staff salaries, created an employee of the month program and rolled out a new HRIS, payroll and applicant tracking system.

Nicole attended Northeastern University for Human Resources Management and has over 18 years of human resources experience in community-based hospitals.

Nancy Roach Program Director, Upham’s Elder Service Plan

Nancy Roach

Chief PACE Program Officer (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly)

Nancy joined the Upham’s Elder Service Plan in March 2016.  In September 2018, she assumed the role of PACE Program Director.  Her primary responsibilities include oversight and management of PACE clinical and operation staff, ensuring program integrity, and safeguarding the mission of the program.  Nancy works closely with the PACE leadership team to identify strategic and business opportunities.  Together they set the annual goals for the program.

Nancy is also responsible for representing PACE at the UCHC corporate level and is the key contact for both the State and Federal regulators.  Nancy has a thirty five year professional history working in healthcare; her interest and experience has been operational oversight of programs caring for elders and persons with disabilities.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science.  In addition, she holds an English as a Second Language degree and certification.

Eileen Segale, R.N.C, M.S., M.P.H.

Chief Home Health Services Officer

Eileen has been the Director of the Home Care Department since 1987.  She participated in securing funding and led the initial home-based Maternal Child Health, HIV, and PACE programs.

Prior to joining UCHC, she held several direct care and leadership positions including Head Nurse, Temple University Hospital; Research Nurse, Columbia University Hospital; MCH Nurse, Boston City Hospital; and Public Health Supervisor, Copan, Honduras (Peace Corps).  Eileen has a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Health, both from Columbia University.
