ABOUT UCHC

The mission of the Upham’s Corner Health Committee, Inc. is to provide high quality, low cost, culturally sensitive, community-based health and social services to the residents of North Dorchester and adjacent neighborhoods.

Upham’s Corner Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and receives federal HHS funding through its designation as a Section 330 community health center. Related to UCHC’s status as an FQHC, UCHC has federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims for itself and its covered individuals (i.e covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act/FTCA).
